Oak Leaves was a publication started by the railroad to entice settlers and industry into the region. In the 1980's the Younger brothers (see NAL people) formed the Missouri & North Arkansas Railroad Research Group and began to publish a newsletter appropriately named "Oak Leaves". The newsletter quickly became a wealth of information on the North Arkansas Line and this fine publication is still published today by the Boone County Historical Society.
